Hello all! My name is Netta, and I’m the UI designer for Foodbuzz.
Send to a friend is a feature that we removed in January of this year. We’ve improved this tool and we’re bringing it back soon as “Share.” Here’s an outline of the features in the new tool:
Foodbuzz announced today the newest addition to the Foodbuzz featured content sections on Foodbuzz.com: Winebuzz. Winebuzz features a weekly wine that has been paired with a seasonal recipe submitted by Foodbuzz Featured Publishers, our partner food bloggers.
In January, I ran across this report from eMarketer about spending in social media marketing growing from basically nothing to over $3B by 2012, with annual growth rates as high as 60% in 2011 and 85% in 2012. Then yesterday I read this article (also in eMarketer) about how US marketers have changed their opinions dramatically in just the last 6 months regarding how much they plan to spend in social media this year, next year, and in five years. The conclusion: Nearly one fifth of marketing dollars will go to social media in five years. And the nuance: these estimates on social media spending increased 50% in just six months.

San Francisco — February 4th, 2010: Foodbuzz announced today that it has surpassed 2 million food posts submitted by its community of food bloggers and food lovers. Read full article>>
We’re delighted that Foodbuzz was featured in the February 2010 issue of Entrepreneur Magazine. The article highlights Foodbuzz’s wealth of community resources and the outstanding growth we’ve seen at Foodbuzz in the last year (10% a month). The article does a great job of describing the ways Foodbuzz users can discover new foods and brands, explore content that’s been recommended by users and editors, review recipes and restaurants, connect with similarly-minded foodies, and organize all of the great content you find.
Foodbuzz is excited to announce that six of the finalists in the Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry 1, 2, 3 Puff! Contest are Foodbuzz Featured Publishers, our partner bloggers. Foodbuzz worked with Pepperidge Farm to market the contest, sending puff pastry to 250 Foodbuzz food bloggers, to help inspire the creation of recipes to enter into the contest (also open to the general public).
Dear Foodbuzz Users,
We will be making a significant change to the site effective at midnight, January 20th 2010 that we want you to know about in advance, as it will change the way some of you have been using Foodbuzz.
First, when you log into your profile, your default view will be the list of all new posts your “foodie friends” have recently posted on their blogs or on Foodbuzz. With this change, you will be able to view all your friends’ latest posts right there from your profile, rather than reading the same posts in your inbox where your friends previously sent you their content with “send” function.

San Francisco — December 21, 2009: When it comes to inspiration for holiday recipes and gift ideas, food blogs are the major source for both, according to the Foodbuzz Community.
